Guide to creating a Stripe account
To collect prepayments via credit card for your event, you'll need to create a Stripe account if you don't already have one. Creating an account only takes about five minutes, and after completing the registration form, you'll be immediately able to start collecting prepayments for your events.
During the registration process, there are a couple of questions that aren't immediately obvious how to answer, so we've prepared a guide to answering them below.
Will your business handle your customers’ card numbers?
Will you or connected applications that are acting on your behalf (Connect Standard) use any kind of additional verification methods to determine your customers’ identity?
Will you or connected applications that are creating payments on your behalf (Connect Standard) require card security codes for every payment?
Will you or connected applications that are acting on your behalf (Connect Standard) use any counter measures to detect suspicious delivery addresses?
Has your business violated either the Specified Commercial Transaction Act (特定商取引法) in the past five years or the Consumer Contract Act (消費者契約法) and lost a lawsuit due to these violations in the past?
No (unless your company has violated either of the above).
Doorkeeper will default this to the URL of your public community page, and you should leave it as is.
Otherwise, the fields in the registration form should be self-explanatory. However, if you have any questions, get in touch with us.
